Privacy Policy
HauteKit ("we", "us") operates the Noise Reducer mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
Information the App handles
- Audio and video files you import are processed on your device to reduce noise; they are not uploaded to our servers.
- Limited technical information (such as diagnostics and subscription status) is used to operate and improve the app.
The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
How information is used
The information described above is used only to run the App's core features: cleaning the audio and video files you import, and managing your subscription. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Device identifier
We generate a pseudonymous identifier for your device and store it only in hashed form. It is not your name, email address, phone number, or advertising ID, and it cannot be used to contact you. This identifier survives reinstalling the App, so that we can count distinct users instead of treating every reinstall as a new person, and so that free-usage limits are applied fairly.
Analytics and diagnostics
We use analytics to understand how the App is used — which features are opened, whether a noise-reduction job succeeds or fails, and where people run into problems. These events may include the pseudonymous device identifier described above, the App version, device model, operating system version, language, and coarse network type. The contents of your audio and video files are never sent.
Usage analytics are provided by PostHog; crash reporting and supporting infrastructure are provided by Google (Firebase and Google Play services). Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
Where data is processed and how long it is kept
Analytics data is stored on our analytics provider's infrastructure in the European Union. Google services may process data outside your country; if you are located outside these regions, using the App means your data will be transferred to and stored there.
Analytics events are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically. Crash reports follow Google's own retention schedule.
Your choices
You can stop all future analytics collection by uninstalling the App. To request access to, or deletion of, data associated with your device, contact us using the email address in the Contact us section below.
Data storage and retention
We do not operate user accounts and do not maintain profiles of individual users. Content you create in the App is stored on your device and is under your control; deleting the App removes it.
Data security
All network requests made by the App use encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we limit what leaves your device to the minimum a feature needs. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but collecting less is the most reliable protection.
Your choices and rights
- You can use the App without providing any personal information.
- You can erase everything the App has created by deleting it from your device.
- Depending on where you live, the law may give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because we do not hold identifiable user profiles, your device is the fastest place to exercise those rights — and you can always contact us with a request.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International users
The App is offered worldwide. Any technical information processed off your device may be handled in a country other than yours; using the App means you understand and accept this.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
